Johnson Back With KohR Motorsports for 2026 Season Effort.

Former IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge champion Billy Johnson returns with KohR Motorsports for the second straight year as part of KohR Motorsports’ two-car GS class effort.

The Dean Martin-led team has confirmed that it will field a pair of Ford Mustang GT4s, with Johnson teamed with Bob Michaelian, and Evan Slater pairing up with IMSA veteran Ray Mason in the sister entry.

Winning the 2016 title alongside Scott Maxwell in a Multimatic Motorsports-entered Ford Mustang GT350 R-C, Johnson continues a many year-long tie for most career wins in the Michelin Pilot Challenge series history.

The former factory Ford driver later went on to compete in the FIA World Endurance Championship as part of the factory Ford GT program before returning to Pilot Challenge and other sports car racing competitions.

KohR Motorsports, based in Florida, expands into a two-car full season effort coming from the 2025 season which saw intermittent entries of the second team car.
